Broncochem Maximum Cough is conceived to be a product focusing solely on cough relief. It is used to treat cough and chest congestion caused by the common cold and flu, infections, or allergies.
A cough is a natural reflex to protect your lungs. It gets out stuff that doesn’t belong in your lungs and windpipe. In the case of cold or flu, cough can be productive wet (or “chesty”) coughs, or nonproductive dry coughs. Dry coughs, caused by irritated nerve endings in your airways, do not usually produce noticeable mucus. This can be suppressed by Dextromethorphan HBr, which works by decreasing the feeling of the unnecessary need to cough. As for wet (or “chesty”) coughs, the appropriate dose of guaifenesin in Broncochem Maximum Cough will help thin the mucus and make your cough more productive.
